Pentagram Wins at the Design Week Awards
Beat IV: The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, designed by Angus Hyland and his team, Masumi Briozzo and Kyle Wheeler, has won joint first prize in this year’s Design Week Award for Editorial Design. A fully illustrated edition of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s epic poem, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is the fourth edition of Beat published by the Heart Agency to showcase the work of their roster of illustrators.
Launchpad, the London Science Museum’s recently refurbished interactive gallery for children received a commendation from the Design Week judges in the Museums, Galleries and Visitor Attractions category. Harry Pearce created the identity and environmental graphics for Launchpad and shares the honours with the Science Museum’s Tim Molloy and 3D designers ASFB Associates.
Pentagram Associate Jane Plüer, who sat on this year’s judging panel, collected the award on behalf of Pentagram at the awards dinner in London on Tuesday night.
